Old Brick - Photogrammetry

Photogrammetry based 2m² seamless brick material.

41 scanned images were colour corrected in Lightroom. The mesh was generated in Reality Capture and small fixes made in Blender. Normal, height and ambient occlusion maps were baked in Marmoset then seam removal was completed using ArtEngine and Substance Painter. Delighting was done using both Substance Sampler and Substance Designer, where I also created the roughness map and carried out some additional tweaks. Final renders in Marmoset.

A lot was learned in making this material and I will continue to experiment with different software and techniques to improve my workflow. Ideally, I'd like to use only Substance Painter for seam removal and only Substance Designer for delighting. This will speed up the process considerably by using by less software while improving overall quality through continued practice and refinement of my workflow.
